Happy Mother's Day
As long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a mama. I enjoyed playing with dolls, I started babysitting before I was in high school, I worked in a day care while I was in college. I just love being around babies, toddlers--kids of all ages. And for the past two years, I have had the pleasure of being a step-mom to a very handsome 8-year old boy, Victor. I first met Victor when he was two years old and I have enjoyed watching him grow up for the past 6 years. In less than two weeks I will become the mommy to a beautiful baby girl. I have been anticipating this moment for most of my life, but I am overwhelmed with all types of emotions as I prepare to meet my daughter. So on this special day, Happy Mother's Day to all moms, step-moms, adoptive moms, foster moms, god-mothers, and women who have carried the dream of being a mom in your hearts. Through your prayers, guidance, and example, I feel like I am better prepared to walk this journey of my life.
