five minute friday: together

On Five Minute Fridays, we link up with The Gypsy Mama and write for five minutes flat. No editing, no spell-check, no over-analyzing of words, just pure writing from the heart. Join us?

GO.

Weekends like this one...  this one we are counting down the hours for are the ones that fill me up.  Fill me up to the brim and spilling over kind.  One where life and love and memories happen.  One where our family unit is complete.  Together. Whole.

There are miles that seperate our family on most days, weeks, hours and moments.  Moments that are filled with Facetime and phone calls.  Moments that we bind together with the sweet sounds of a voice all too far away.  Moments that remind us that, despite the distance, despite the circumstances, He binds us all together.  He makes us family.  He holds us in the palm of His hand until we are together again.

But weekends like this one.  We are together.  Whole.  Complete.  And we fill that space and time with Saturday morning cuddles and playing in the yard and late night movies and everything else that really matters.  We make memories.  We are family.

But mostly, we are just together.

"Christ was before all things.
All things are held together by Him."
Colossians 1:17 (NLT)
