an unending gift

What is about getting older that makes birthdays a little less important?

Today marked another year older for this gal.  But yet, it seemed and felt like any ordinary day {with the exception of Facebook.  Facebook birthday love rocks!}.

Except it wasn't an ordinary day....

This year, I started my morning with the sweetest little smile asking me for a cup of milk.  And her smile made the ordinary and mundane, seem a little more extraordinary.

Actually, her smile makes every day extraordinary.  Being a mommy is a gift that I get to unwrap every morning.  And each day, there is something different that I take delight in because of my daughter.

She is the bright spot in all of my days.

"However many years anyone may live,
  let them enjoy them all."
Ecclesiastes 11:8 (NIV)
