{day 11} at the center of a rock and hard place...

Have you ever found yourself between a rock and hard place?

A place where you know both sides of the story?  And they don't add up.

I found myself there today.  And my heart felt heavy and dark.  Just plain ol' blah.

And then I remembered the song our church sang last night.

Oh, Christ, be the center of our lives.
Be the place we fix our eyes.
Be the center of our lives.

I want Christ to be the center of my life.  I want my eyes to stay fixed on the Cross.  And I want my knees to touch the ground, as I worship Him.

By fixing my eyes on Jesus, I wiggled my way out from that rock and hard place.  I walked away.  I prayed for the rock and the hard place.  I asked Jesus to soften the hardness.

And then, I left it at the foot of the Cross.  Not a second thought.  Not a worry or doubt.  No anxiety.  No bad feelings.

Just peace knowing Christ is at the center of everything.  He is holding everything {and everyone} together.
