a dwelling place: weekend blessings abound...

Have you ever tried to catch all your blessings from a weekend in a cup not near big enough? Leaving you with blessings overflowing and running onto every surface within reach. This is coming on the heels of what has quite possible been one of the best weekends I've had in a long time. So full of blessings that there wasn't a cup large enough to catch them all. I overflow.

It started with a date with my parents on Friday night. Mama felt like something 'fishy' so we headed for the Mayflower in Darlington. We ate until our bellies were full. But I venture to say we enjoyed the company until our hearts were fuller.

Saturday met me with a girl who decided it best to sleep in until 8 o'clock. What?!! Holla! My man made some of the prettiest pancakes I've ever seen and even had sausage on the side. We all moved at a slower pace Saturday morning. I took my girl to meet Larry the Cucumber and Bob the Tomato from VeggieTales. She was not that impressed. But we did manage to leave LifeWay with a VeggieTales gardening set and a few books. I fought her to take a nap and ended up rocking myself to sleep. After a two and half hour slumber, I enjoyed a bit of quiet time on the front porch with a special treat and a book. We topped the evening off with a stroll on the Rail Trail. It was our pup's first walk on the Trail and we caught a few sad glimpses, as if we had a dog that wasn't all there {if you know what I mean}! We attempted family movie night, but a certain tot a the meltdown of all meltdowns. So, the two girls retired for the evening. Leaving the guys to their movie.
