7 months...

7 months.
And we are completely smitten.
You really are just the coolest lil' dude.

You weigh a whopping 25.4 pounds.
Honestly, you look a bit like a mini sumo wrestler.  I always prayed for a chunky baby and the Lord answered that prayer in abundance.
You are wearing a size 4 diaper and size 12-18 month clothes.
You drink 5 nine ounce bottles a day and eat three meals.
So far, you love sweet potatoes, carrots, green beans, sweet peas, squash, zucchini, avocado, pears, nectarines, plums, peaches, pears, apples and bananas.
Who am I kidding?
You love everything that you eat.
We feed you first and then we have supper.
But you get mad when you see our food and don't have anything for yourself.
Daddy told you that there is a difference between being hungry and just wanting to eat.
It's a family trait you get honest.  From both sides, actually.
The Griggs and Brown families like to eat.

You are rolling over from tummy to back and vice versa.
During tummy time, you want so badly to crawl, but you have quite learned the concept.
Instead, you just scoot yourself backwards.

We just spent a week at the beach and loved the pool.
The first day we discovered that your legs wouldn't fit in your float.
So, off we went to find a float that would go over those ham hocks.
You weren't so sure of the ocean.
But the water was frigid, so hopefully that will change by the time we go back this summer.

You absolutely adore your jumpy gym.  You make a racket jumping and squealing.
With the longer nights, we enjoy evening strolls and you love to stare up at the sky.

I am pretty certain you will have the gift of gab like your mama, daddy, and sister.
Your first word was mama and my heart split wide open.
Every single time I hear you say my name I can't help but smile.
Being a mama is God's grace to me.

Griggs, you bring us so much joy!  The days may seem long, but time is short.  We are scratching our heads in disbelief that seven months have flown by.  Seven wonderful, amazing, joyful, exhausting, high-caffeinated, deliriously happy months.

And we can hardly wait to see what all the next month holds for us!

You are cherished more than you will ever understand, my baby boy!
